Thames Ring 250

The Thames Ring 250 is an iconic 250+ mile race that takes participants on a challenging loop from Goring along the River Thames into London, then up the Grand Union Canal and down the Oxford Canal back to the Thames. First held in 2009, it is known for its difficulty, with a high DNF rate. Runners have 100 hours to complete the course, with checkpoints every 25 miles offering support and rest options. The event includes tracking, first aid, and optional merchandise, with all finishers receiving a unique medal. The current course record is just under 60 hours. Trail runs nearby

Tackle 26.3 miles around Colworth Estate with five scenic laps of gently undulating trail and lanes, including woodland paths and narrow sections. Friendly club facilities, cup free so bring your own bottle, 30 November in Sharnbrook.

Run looped trail and road courses in Chalfont St Peter, from 7k to full marathon and ultras, with aid station, pacers and big drop bag access. Open to runners and walkers 16+, this friendly event showcases scenic woodland trails.

Support Hospice of St Francis at the Wild Christmas Charity Run, a guided 8km trail or 4km family walk from Church Farm Cafe. Enjoy a mince pie with entry, optional fancy dress and limited places so book early.

Run a scenic 10 mile trail around Grafham Water, weaving through woodland, Dragonfly Pond and Sanctuary Bay before a final mile along the dam wall. Canicross runs in a separate wave so you can bring your dog on a lead.
