Take 5 In the Garden

Take 5 in the Garden is a running event held in Garden of the Gods Park in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The event takes place on a course with views of red rock formations, including Siamese Twins, Kissing Camels, and Balanced Rock, with Pikes Peak visible in the background. For the duration of the event, the park is closed to vehicle traffic.

Participants can choose from several distance options and surface types:

• 5K Road Race: A road course with 325 feet of elevation gain.
• 5 Mile Road Race: A road course with 646 feet of elevation gain.
• 5 Mile Trail Race: A trail course with 482 feet of elevation gain.
• 9.5 Mile Double Take: A combined road and trail course with 1,065 feet of elevation gain.

The start and finish lines are located on Gateway Road off of 30th Street. The courses feature varying numbers of water stops, ranging from one stop on the 5K to seven stops on the 9.5 mile distance. A course cutoff is enforced at 9:30 AM, and runners in the Double Take must reach the trail portion by 8:15 AM to continue that distance.

Registration includes a custom race shirt and a finisher's medal. Packet pickup is available the day before the event at a local running store or at the starting line on the morning of the race.
