Sundowner 5K Series

The Sundowner 5K Series is a summer evening running series organised by Blast Running in Edinburgh. It comprises three 5 kilometre events held across Leith Links, Fettes and Inverleith Park. Races take place on inner trail paths and use chip timing.

Courses are clearly marked and marshals are positioned around the routes. Race photos are taken and a warm up is offered by Westwoods Health Club. The series is supported by FNZ and has a charity partner, Earth in Common, a Leith based project focused on urban food growing and environmental and educational work.

Entries are priced at £12 per race or £30 for all three events. Each event has a maximum of 250 entries. Online entry is available and there are a limited number of on the day places subject to availability.

Prizes are awarded for the fastest male and female in each age category at each event, with a special prize for the most improved runner across the series. The series welcomes runners of all abilities and presents recurring summer evening events at three well known Edinburgh green spaces.
