Standing Boy Trail Festival - Columbus, GA

The Standing Boy Trail Festival takes place over a weekend in September 2026 at Standing Boy Trails, 1701 Old River Rd, Columbus, GA. The event includes multiple trail races on the Standing Boy single-track system and supports the Standing Boy Trail System.

Distances and event types:

  • Night Time Vertical 5K
  • 10 mile race (one loop)
  • Canicross 10 mile race
  • 50K race (three loops)

The primary course is a 10 mile loop that passes through the start and finish area each lap. The 50K covers the same loop three times and the 10 mile race completes it once. Runners in the 50K may leave drop bags at the start/finish area. A fully stocked aid station will be available on course.

The Night Time Vertical 5K is an out-and-back on the mountain with about 400 feet of elevation gain; a headlamp or light is required. A Canicross 10 mile race will be held on the opposing loop to reduce trail congestion.

Additional event details include a raffle entry for an entry into the 2027 Western States 100 for those who finish the Bootlegger 100 and the Standing Boy 50K, participant swag by distance, paid parking requirements unless a year pass is held, limited field size due to parking capacity, time limits of 9.5 hours for the 50K and 3.5 hours for the 10 mile, and a refund policy that offers full refunds until three months before the event.
