Standing Boy Trail Festival

The Standing Boy Trail Festival takes place September 18-20, 2026 at Standing Boy Trails in Columbus, Georgia. The event includes multiple trail races run on a flowing single track that follows the side of the Chattahoochee River.

Race distances

  • Night Time Vertical 5K (out and back, about 400 feet of gain)
  • 10 mile race (single 10 mile loop)
  • Canicross 10 mile race
  • 50K (three laps of the 10 mile loop)

The 10 mile loop passes through the start and finish area each lap. The 50K uses three laps of that loop. Runners may set a drop bag at the start and finish area for the 50K. A fully stocked aid station will be available during the 50K.

The Night Time Vertical 5K is run up and down the mountain and requires a headlamp or other light. The event includes a Canicross 10 mile race that starts on the opposing loop to reduce trail congestion.

Swag for participants varies by race: each finisher receives a unique medal, 5K participants receive a small insulated cooler, 10 mile participants receive a beach towel, and 50K participants receive a t-shirt.

Parking must be paid in advance unless a year pass applies and capacity is limited. The 50K has a 9.5 hour cutoff and the 10 mile race has a 3.5 hour cutoff. Refunds are 100 percent until three months before the event; no refunds after that time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
