Holiday Hootie Hoo is a trail running event scheduled for December 13, 2026 in Pine Mountain, Georgia. The event is organized by the Southern Singletrack Trail Series and is the final race in that series. It is presented as the 9th annual Holiday Hootie Hoo Trail Race.
The event offers two distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
Courses take place at F.D.R. State Park and use long sections of singletrack. The Half Marathon route passes rock outcroppings, hardwood and longleaf pine forests, rock formations, springs, and creek crossings. The 10K travels the Mountain Creek Nature Trail Loop and part of the Longleaf Loop. Both routes include rocky, root-filled singletrack covered in leaves. Aid stations are provided: one for the 10K and 2.5 for the Half Marathon.
Entry fees listed are $70 for the 10K and $85 for the Half Marathon, with prices increasing after November 21 to $85 and $100 respectively. Registration closes on December 9 at 11:59 PM ET and there is no race day registration. No transfers, refunds, or deferments are allowed.
Each participant receives a race hoodie and a finisher award; hoodie size is not guaranteed for registrations after November 25. Overall male and female awards are given. A $10 parking fee per vehicle applies at Georgia State Parks. A portion of proceeds benefits the park, the Pine Mountain Trail Association, and the Humane Society of Harris County. The event also collects pet food donations for the Humane Society; in 2022 over 340 pounds were delivered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
