Holiday Hootie-Hoo Half Marathon

Pine Mountain, United States • 13 Dec 2026

Holiday Hootie Hoo - December 13, 2026

The Holiday Hootie Hoo is the 9th annual trail race held at F.D.R. State Park in Pine Mountain, Georgia. It includes two distances:

  • Half Marathon
  • 10K

Both courses run on singletrack with rocky, root-filled trails often covered in leaves. The half marathon route includes rock outcroppings, hardwood and longleaf pine forests, rock formations, springs, and creek crossings. The 10K follows the Mountain Creek Nature Trail Loop and part of the Longleaf Loop. Aid is provided at 1 station for the 10K and at 2.5 stations for the half marathon.

Registration is required in advance; there is no race-day registration. Registration closes on December 9 at 11:59 PM ET. Entry fees are listed as $70 for the 10K and $85 for the half marathon, rising to $85 and $100 respectively after November 21. No transfers, refunds, or deferments are allowed.

Each registered runner receives a race hoodie and a finisher award. Hoodie size is not guaranteed for registrations after November 25. A $10 parking fee per vehicle is required at Georgia State Parks; parking is limited and carpooling is recommended. A portion of the proceeds benefits F.D.R. State Park, the Pine Mountain Trail Association, and the Humane Society of Harris County. Food donations for the Humane Society of Harris County are being collected at the event.
