Holiday Hootie-Hoo Trail Race

The Holiday Hootie-Hoo Trail Race is the 9th annual Southern Singletrack event held at F.D.R. State Park in Pine Mountain, Georgia. It is the final race in the Southern Singletrack Trail Series and offers trail distances on singletrack with rocky, root-filled sections and leaf cover.

The Half Marathon route includes rock outcroppings, hardwood and longleaf pine forests, rock formations, springs, and creek crossings. The 10K follows the Mountain Creek Nature Trail Loop and part of the Longleaf Loop. The 10K has one aid station and the Half Marathon has 2.5 aid stations.

Entry fees are listed as $70 for the 10K and $85 for the Half Marathon with prices increasing after November 21. Registration closes Wednesday, December 9 at 11:59 PM ET. There is no race day registration and no transfers, refunds, or deferments. Each registered participant receives a race hoodie and a finisher award; hoodie size is not guaranteed after November 25.

A $10 parking fee per vehicle is required at Georgia State Parks and parking is limited. A portion of the proceeds benefits the park, the Pine Mountain Trail Association, and the Humane Society of Harris County. A 12 hour looped event at Oxbow Meadows where one-mile paved laps repeat in 15-minute segments. Participants can cover 1 to 50 miles, lap limits tighten in the final hours, and prize money is tiered by field size.

Last at the Lake at West Point Lake, GA features a Last Man Standing event on a 5 km loop and a 50K race of ten laps on the Turkey Run Trail. The course offers lake views, shaded single track, awards, and a race t shirt and finisher medal.

A trail event in Columbus, Georgia offering 25K, 50K and 50 mile options along the Fall Line Trace and connected riverfront trails. Aid stations serve Southern-style food and the field is limited to 100 runners.

Standing Boy Trail Festival in Columbus GA offers multiple trail races on flowing single track along the Chattahoochee, including a Night Time Vertical 5K, a 10 mile race, a Canicross 10 mile, and a 50K of three 10 mile loops.
