Holiday Hootie Hoo Half Marathon

The Holiday Hootie Hoo Trail Race is a 10K and half marathon event on December 13, 2026, in Pine Mountain, Georgia. It is the fourth and final race in the Southern Singletrack series. The courses are on trails at F.D.R. State Park.

Course and Distances

The event offers two distances on trail courses.

  • Half Marathon: This route travels through F.D.R. State Park on Pine Mountain. Runners can see rock outcroppings, forests, rock formations, springs, and creek crossings. The course is described as rocky, root-filled singletrack covered in leaves.
  • 10K: This course uses the Mountain Creek Nature Trail Loop and part of the Longleaf Loop.

Event Information

There are aid stations on the courses. All participants receive a race hoodie and a finisher award. Overall awards are given for male and female runners. A portion of the race proceeds benefits F.D.R. State Park, the Pine Mountain Trail Association, and the Humane Society of Harris County. The event also collects dog and cat food donations for the Humane Society.
