The event takes place in Valley, AL at Shawmut Airport and runs along the banks of the Chattahoochee River. It is the third year for this event. Registration closes on Fri, May 8. A full aid station and volunteers with ultra experience will support participants in the timed events.
The event includes a 3.1 mile 5K trail course along the river. An Ice Cream Mile is also offered; participants run one mile while consuming four frozen treats, starting with a choice of three icy delights and stopping every quarter mile for the next treats.

This is organized as a no DNF event: any runner who completes at least one 5K loop before sundown will receive a recorded finish. Each finisher receives a unique finisher award. Overall male and female winners receive unique awards that may include a loaf of Mama Crudd's homemade bread; the bread is not gluten free. A course record bonus applies to the 12-hour event: a new 12-hour course record of 58 miles was set in 2024, and a $100 cash prize is offered for a new 12-hour course record.
