Small Town Christmas 34 Hour
The Small Town Christmas 34 Hour is a 34 hour ultrarunning event held in Valley, AL on a 2 mile loop along the banks of the Chattahoochee River. The event is organized by Muddy Crudd Trail and Ultrarunning and takes place in early December 2026.
The race supports a local holiday tradition: each year a carousel is set up for children free of charge. That tradition began as an outreach hosted by local textile mills and is now maintained largely through donations from local businesses and city support. The event serves as an aid to help carry on this carousel tradition.
In its first year the event recorded several 100 mile finishes and included a world record tying achievement of fifty 100 mile finishes in a year. The second year saw additional personal bests and a larger field of participants.
Awards and participant items are defined in advance. Each runner registered by the event t-shirt deadline of 11/25/2026 receives an event t-shirt. Each finisher receives a unique finisher award, and runners who reach 100 miles receive a custom MuddyCrudd belt buckle. Registration for the event closes on 12/04/2026.
