Holiday Hootie Hoo
Holiday Hootie Hoo is a trail running event on December 13, 2026 in Pine Mountain, Georgia, organized by Southern Singletrack Trail Series. The event includes two distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
The courses run at F.D.R. State Park. The half marathon route features rock outcroppings, hardwood and longleaf pine forests, rock formations, springs, and creek crossings. The 10K follows the Mountain Creek Nature Trail Loop and part of the Longleaf Loop. Both routes use rocky, root-filled singletrack covered in leaves; runners should watch their step.
Aid stations are provided: one for the 10K and 2.5 for the half marathon. Each registered runner receives a race hoodie and a finisher award; hoodie size is not guaranteed for registrations after November 25. No transfers, refunds, or deferments are permitted. There is no race-day registration; registration closes Wednesday, December 9 at 11:59 PM ET.
A portion of proceeds will benefit F.D.R. State Park, the Pine Mountain Trail Association, and the Humane Society of Harris County. The event will also collect canned or bagged dog and cat food for the Humane Society of Harris County. Parking at the state park requires a $10.00 fee per vehicle and is limited, so carpooling is recommended. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
