Blood Root Ultra - Riverside Farm, Pittsfield VT
Blood Root Ultra is a multi-day trail running event held at Riverside Farm in Pittsfield, Vermont from June 23 to June 26, 2027. The event takes place in the foothills of the Green Mountain National Forest and features multiple ultramarathon and shorter trail distances.
Available distances include:
- 200 Miler
- 100 Miler
- 50 Miler
- 50K
- 10 Miler
The race is organized as a self-supported event with aid stations offering water, electrolytes, and limited nutrition. Current aid station planning lists three aid stations on Riverside Trails and four to five aid stations or checkpoints on the Bloodroot Trail. Participants must provide their own labeled drop bags, hydration, nutrition, required gear, and supplies. Drop bag access is planned as follows: the 50M has access at miles 0, 30, and 40; the 100M and 200M have drop bag access approximately every 10 miles. Exact aid station locations and course routes are subject to change.
Pacers are not permitted for any distance. Headlamps are mandatory for the 50M, 100M, and 200M, and may be required for participants who are still on course late in the day. Participants must check out with race staff at the finish and return their timing chip before leaving. Registration includes an event t-shirt and finisher medal.
