Rochester 4th of July 5k Trail Run/Walk

The Rochester 4th of July 5k Trail Run/Walk is presented by Pierce Hall Community Center and Ridgeline Outdoor Collective. The event starts and finishes at River Brook Park, located at 205 VT Route 100 N in Rochester, Vermont. The course is well marked and follows local single-track and connector trails.

From the start participants cross the bridge behind the fire station to River Brook Drive, then turn right onto Chantrea Field single-track trails. The route climbs to the intersection of Chantrea Hill and VCR Connector trails, continues up to the VCR Connector, and turns right onto Boulder Dash to descend to Creamery Run. Runners and walkers then turn right onto Creamery Run, head south, and cross Beans Bridge Road onto the Chantrea Hill trail, which includes a slight upsloping section back to the Chantrea Field intersection. The course then backtracks down to River Brook Drive and returns to the finish at River Brook Park.

The description focuses on the physical route and trail names. The organizer notes that the course is marked and uses existing local trail features including single-track sections, connector trails, and a road crossing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
