Event Overview

The Rochester 5K Trail Run/Walk is presented by Pierce Hall Community Center and Ridgeline Outdoor Collective. The event is held in partnership with Rochester's Pierce Hall on the 4th of July.

Course Details

The run and walk are on a 5 km trail course. The start and finish are at River Brook Park, located at 211 VT Route 100 N in Rochester, Vermont. The course will be well marked.

From the start, participants head across a bridge behind the fire station to River Brook Drive, then take a right onto the single-track trails of Chantrea Field. The route climbs to the intersection of Chanterea Hill and VCR Connector trails. It proceeds up to VCR Connector, takes a right onto Boulder Dash heading down to Creamery Run, then a right onto Creamery Run heading south. The course crosses Beans Bridge Road onto Chantrea Hill trail for a slight uphill before returning to the intersection with Chantrea Field trail. From there, it backtracks down to River Brook Drive and finishes at River Brook Park.

The Runamuck 50k will take place in Pomfret on Saturday 11 April 2026. You can run 50 kilometers.

The Mucker offers a choice of trail adventures in Hubbard Park, from a 5k hike or ruck to a 5k or 5-mile run. It's part of the Montpelier Mudfest weekend. A kids' obstacle course event runs concurrently on the State House lawn.
