TAM Trek
TAM Trek is a trail race and fun run in Middlebury, Vermont that raises money for the Trail Around Middlebury (TAM). The event is in its 23rd year and has races that start and finish at Wright Park. The 19 mile Trail Around Middlebury encircles the village and links town land, conserved properties, schools, and local landmarks across several hundred acres.
Course options include the full 19 mile route and shorter trail distances. The 19 mile route travels the entire TAM through the towns of Middlebury, Cornwall, New Haven, and Weybridge. Runners on the full route pass rolling terrain and viewpoints that face the Green Mountains to the east and the Adirondacks to the west.
- 19 mile: entire Trail Around Middlebury through Middlebury, Cornwall, New Haven, Weybridge.
- 10K: single track through Wright Park and Otter Creek Gorge Loop; around 400 feet elevation gain.
- 5K: wide and single track loops in Wright Park via Belden Falls entrance and return.
- 2 mile fun run: family friendly, follows Otter Creek, trail route; leashed dogs welcome.
