The Goshen Gallop takes place on July 11, 2026 at the Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center, 1245 Goshen Ripton Rd, Goshen, Vermont. The event offers two distance options:

  • 10K
  • 5K

Registration opens November 1, 2025. The race uses a mass start for both distances and the course is well marked. The route runs on cross-country ski trails and gravel roads through the Moosalamoo National Recreation Area of the Green Mountain National Forest and includes views from the south end of Hogback. The course is generally dry with a few muddy sections between 6 and 8 km.

Logistics and facilities

The Gallop is cup-free; participants must bring their own hydration device and a cup for post-race drinks. A spigot is available at 5 km for refilling. Dinner is served buffet style for those who have purchased a meal; a meal ticket is provided at registration and a limited number of extra tickets may be available. Raffle tickets are sold before and after the race; winners must be present. Awards are given for the top three in each race and for age-group winners in the 10K; recipients must be present to receive awards. Two porta-potties are available outside the ski center. Camping can be purchased for $10 per person per night and includes wifi, showers, water, and indoor daytime space. Dogs are permitted but must be leashed and controlled.
