  • 5K

The race uses cross country ski trails and local gravel roads through the Moosalamoo National Recreation Area of the Green Mountain National Forest. The course is well marked and is generally dry, with a few muddy spots between 6 and 8 km on the 10K route. Course maps are provided for each distance.

Race details and services

The event is cup-free; participants must bring their own hydration device and a cup for post-race water or lemonade. A spigot is available at 5 km for refilling. Aid and medical needs should be reported to the nearest volunteers. Unofficial results will be posted after the race; official results will appear on the event web pages and Ultrasignup. Awards are given to the top three in each race and to age-group winners in the 10K; recipients must be present to receive awards.

Food is available as a paid buffet for those with meal tickets; plates given at registration serve as meal tickets and extra tickets are limited. The event holds a raffle with tickets sold before and after the race; winners must be present. Two porta-potties are provided. Trash, recycling, and compost bins are onsite; Vermont rules require composting food scraps. Camping is available for $10 per person per night and includes wifi, showers, water, and daytime indoor space. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed. All proceeds support the Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center, a registered non-profit that maintains the trails and bridges used by the race.
