Goshen, United States • 11 Jul 2026
Event Overview
The Goshen Gallop is a trail running event held at the Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center in Goshen, Vermont. This is the 48th edition of the annual race. The event offers two distances: a 10 km and a 5 km race.
Course and Logistics
The course uses gravel roads and cross-country ski trails within the Moosalamoo National Recreation Area of the Green Mountain National Forest. The trails are described as tough, with a generally dry surface, though some muddy sections may be present. The race is a cup-free event; participants must bring their own hydration device. A water spigot is available on the course. There is a mass start for both distances.
Post-Race and Amenities
A buffet-style dinner is available for purchase, served between 4:30 and 6:30 PM. This is a BYOB (bring your own beverage) event. A raffle is held with prizes, and awards are given to the top three finishers in each race and age group winners for the 10 km. Participants are invited to swim in the pond behind the Inn after the race. Camping is available for purchase, which includes access to showers, wifi, and indoor space.
Additional Information
Proceeds from the event go to the Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center, a registered non-profit, for the maintenance of the trails. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed. Porta-potties are available for participants. The event encourages composting, recycling, and proper trash disposal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
