Event details

The event on March 8, 2026 at Smoketown Brewery in Brunswick, MD includes the following distances:

• 5k
• 10k

Points from both distances count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series and the Sippin Series. A virtual run option is available. Walkers are welcome. The event benefits Wear Blue: Run to Remember, a national non-profit supporting the military community, veterans, Gold Star families, and civilians.

Course and race logistics

Both events are out-and-back routes on a light gravel dirt path that is basically flat for the entire route. Water stations are limited; participants are advised to bring personal water. Specific water station locations listed are: three stations on the 10k at about mile 0.6, 3.1, and 5.6; two stations on the 5k at about mile 0.6 and 2.5. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Port-a-johns are located near the parking lot.

Races are chip timed. Registered participants receive a glass of beer, a finisher’s medal, and a technical Dri-Fit event shirt. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners who register before February 25; extras are available after that date on a first-come, first-served basis. Listed early registration fees are $35 for the 5k and $50 for the 10k (fees change after listed dates). Race day registration and packet pickup are available at the event; organizers recommend arriving about one hour before check-in.

Results, awards, and other notes

Live results will be posted on Athlinks and via a QR code at the race; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Top three men and women overall receive awards. First and second place awards are given by age group (19 & under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+); top three overall winners are not eligible for age-group awards.
