Blue Crab Bolt Trail Run - Little Bennett
The event takes place on Saturday August 1, 2026 at Little Bennett Regional Park in Clarksburg, Maryland. Little Bennett is a 3,600 acre wooded park with over 20 miles of trails, streams, and camping areas. The race uses singletrack hiking trails that include twisty sections, stream-side running, and sustained hills.
Two course options are offered:
- 5K plus course : 3.7 miles
- 10K course : 6.2 miles
Elevation gain is listed as 330 feet for the 5K plus and 550 feet for the 10K. Portable restrooms are available at the start and finish. The staging area is the Prescott Horse Trailer Area near the Little Bennett Golf Course; parking is in nearby grass fields with signage from the Lewisdale Road turnoff.
Registration fees vary by distance and registration period and range from $40 to $65. The registration fee includes race operations, professional race photography, aid stations, medical support, post-race food including breakfast burritos, awards, and event swag. Swag for this race may be a tri-blend t-shirt or custom running socks. Race medals are available as an optional add-on with a pre-order price and an on-site price; completing all three series races yields a special series medal.
Race rules include no in-ear headphones, no pets or pacers, visible race numbers, no strollers on course, no littering, and a requirement to stay on designated trails.
