Event Overview
The Inferno is a trail running event offering 5k and 10k distances. It takes place on a forest trail loop behind Dirt Farm Brewing in Bluemont, Virginia. The 10k course is two laps of this trail. This route is the reverse of the Trail Demon event course. The terrain includes tree roots and rocks, and the course features elevation changes.
Registration and Fees
Race day registration is available. The standard fees are $35 for the 5k and $50 for the 10k, with a price increase of $5 on race morning. A virtual run option is available for participants unable to attend on the event day.
Runner Amenities
Registered runners receive a technical event shirt (guaranteed for registrations before a specified date), a finisher medal, a glass of beer from Dirt Farm Brewing, and chip timing. Five water stations are available on the 10k course, and two are on the 5k course, with some providing Gatorade.
Awards and Series
Awards are given to the top three overall men and women, as well as to the first and second place male and female finishers in multiple age categories. Performance in this event counts towards the organizer's Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series, as well as the Sippin Series. A "Back of the Pack" time is listed for series purposes.
Event Logistics
