Opening Night 2026

Presented by New Balance and Tuscarora High School XC, Opening Night takes place on Friday, September 4, 2026 at the Morven Park Grounds in Leesburg, VA. The meet features cross country races scheduled in the late afternoon and early evening and a festival-like environment with music and food.

The Morven Park course offers manicured grass fields, surrounding wooded landscape, and connected loops that allow multiple spectator viewpoints. The layout emphasizes spectator and coach access, and the course is receiving a refresh for 2026 that is expected to improve speed and sightlines; final course details will be announced in July 2026.

Races include both middle school and high school divisions, plus an open/all-comers 5K. Awards information is to be released in July 2026. Team billing is capped per gender with two tiers: a Tier 1 cap of $250 for squads of 10 to 25 athletes, and a Tier 2 cap of $350 for squads of 26 or more athletes. High school and middle school registration is noted as open, and open/all-comers 5K registration is available.
