The Final Countdown

Martinsburg, United States • 19 Sep 2026

Event Overview

The Final Countdown Tribute is a race on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The event is held at Amani Brewing, located at 654 Ropp Drive in Martinsburg, WV. It is the event's second annual running.

Course and Format

The race is run on a 1.33 mile loop on the grass path property of Amani Brewery. The path is mowed and described as a smooth, fast trail with a few small hills.

The format is a countdown challenge. All runners start each lap together. The first lap must be completed within 20 minutes (a 15:02 per mile pace). For each successive lap, the countdown time is reduced by 20 seconds, requiring a slightly faster pace each loop. Runners who finish a loop before the countdown reaches zero can rest before the next lap starts. If a runner does not finish a loop before the countdown ends, their race is over. The event continues until only one runner completes a lap before the countdown ends.
