The event features multiple trail race distances held at Scott County Park near Long Grove, Iowa. Distances offered include:

• 50K three laps of the roughly 10 mile loop
• 10 Miler one full loop of the course
• 5 Miler portions of the main course with reduced elevation

The primary loop measures about ten miles with approximately 950 feet of elevation gain per loop. The 50K completes the loop three times; the 5 Miler has roughly 450 feet of elevation gain. Trail surfaces are mostly dirt and grass through wooded and prairie areas, with short paved sections that include a wider softer shoulder. The course contains shaded and open stretches where summer heat may influence conditions.

Aid is provided with a fully stocked station at the start and an on-course station around five miles offering fluids and basic nutrition. Drop bags are permitted; crew access is allowed only at the start/finish area by the Whispering Pines shelter. Pacers are permitted for the 50K only and may join at the start/finish for the final loop; pacers must be on foot. Bicycles are not allowed.

Registration is online only. The event enforces a no refund and no bib transfer policy, with a deferral option that provides a one year rollover credit under specified conditions. A public waitlist is used when distances reach capacity. General race rules include Leave No Trace, no course cutting, trekking poles allowed, no dogs on course, strict cutoffs, and limits on pacers and crew.
