The main loop is roughly 10 miles with most trail two-way except for under a mile of shared two-way trail. Aid support includes a fully stocked station at the start/finish and an on-course station at about 5 miles for the 50K and 10 miler. The 5 miler has water available near its midpoint. Drop bags are permitted at both staffed aid stations. Crew access is limited to the start/finish area by Whispering Pines Shelter. Pacers are allowed only for the 50K and only for the final 10 mile loop; pacers must be on foot. Bikes are not allowed.
Registration is online only; there is no race morning paper registration. The event has a no-refund, no bib transfer policy. A deferral option provides a 100% rollover credit for the following year and is subject to a deadline. The race maintains a public waitlist and enforces course rules including Leave No Trace, no cutting, and enforced cutoffs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
