The Dashing Dog Charity Run - North is organised by Saturn Running and takes place at Durham Amateur Rowing Club, Green Lane, Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3JU on Sunday 12 April 2026. The event is a 7-hour Time Challenge that allows participants to choose how many laps they run, with a minimum distance of 3 km. The course follows a stretch of the River Wear, is classified as a trail run, offers views of the Cathedral, and is fully signed. Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a dog-themed medal. Distance pins are available for half-marathon, mega-half, marathon, 50 km and ultra distances. A dog-themed pin is available for an optional donation and is added to the medal ribbon.

A £2.00 surcharge on every race entry is donated in full to local dog rehoming charities. An optional £3.00 pin donation is matched by the organiser. Members can access a £19.00 entry price and guaranteed entry; members receive a mini-me medal pin at events. Race HQ offers toilets, changing facilities, a bag drop (unstaffed; items left at participant risk), an aid/drinks table with vegan options, goody bags including a vegan option, and nearby free on-street or pay-and-display parking.
