The Dashing Dog Charity Run - North

The Dashing Dog Charity Run - North is a trail running event held along the River Wear in Durham. The course provides views of the local Cathedral and follows a fully signed route on public footpaths. This event is organized as a 7 hour Time Challenge, meaning participants have a fixed time limit to complete as many or as few laps as they choose.

A single lap is approximately 7 km (4.37 miles), though this may be adjusted to a 5.28 km (3.28 mile) loop depending on the ground conditions on the day. Participants must complete at least 3 km to be considered an official finisher. Specific turn points are placed at 3 km and 5 km to accommodate younger runners and UK Athletics distance regulations.
