Course and facilities

Both distances are circular trail races in the North York Moors National Park, starting from Swainby Village Hall. The route includes moorland, forest tracks, sections of the Cleveland Way, Cod Beck and Oak Dale Reservoirs, Scarth Wood, Whorlton Moors and Black Hambleton. Terrain is varied with exposed uplands, rugged sections and muddy forest tracks. The course is predominantly on bridleways and footpaths with small sections on minor road.

The event provides marked courses, regular checkpoints, water/feed stations and downloadable GPS routes. Medical provision is supplied by AED Medical Ltd. There is car parking, a goody bag including a race medal, and trophies for male and female 1st to 3rd overall and 1st to 3rd in each age group. A small donation to the North York Moors National Park and Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team is included in the entry fee. Running with dogs is not permitted.
