Swainby Sweep offers circular 7- and 16-mile trail races in the North York Moors National Park, starting from Swainby Village Hall (DL6 3EG). Runners cover varied terrain—moorland, forest tracks and Cleveland Way sections—with views of Cod Beck, Oak Dale Reservoirs, Scarth Wood and Whorlton Moors, and Black Hambleton. The courses are fully marked, with marshals, water/food stations, regular checkpoints, and downloadable GPS routes.

Highlights include a race HQ, car parking, on-site medical provision, and a goodie bag with a medal. Prizes go to the top three overall and top three in each age group; dogs are not permitted.
