Fraggle Run - North takes place on Sunday 29 March 2026 at Durham Amateur Rowing Club, Green Ln, Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3JU. The event is organised as a 7-hour Time Challenge. Entry at the reduced price of £17.00 is available only to members; membership also guarantees entry and a mini-me medal pin at each event attended. Number pick-up is on race day at registration. Final race information will be sent by email 7-10 days before the event.

Course, distances and facilities

The course is a signed trail route along the River Wear with views of the Cathedral. A minimum distance of 3 km is required to be an official finisher and receive a medal. The event includes turn points to allow shorter distances for younger runners under UK Athletics rules. Finishers who reach longer distances receive distance pins on their medal ribbon.

  • Ultra = 7 or more laps; 50 km option

There is an aid and drinks table at the start/finish of each lap with savoury, sweet and vegan options. Finishers receive a goody bag and a vegan goody bag is available on request. Toilets and changing facilities are at race HQ. Bag drop is unstaffed and items are left at the participant's responsibility. Headphones are allowed.
