The Saturn 7 Hour Time Challenge in Durham is a flexible running event held at the Durham Amateur Rowing Club along the scenic River Wear, offering views of Durham Cathedral. Participants can run as many laps as they wish within a 7-hour limit, with each lap measuring approximately 4.37 miles (7 km) or possibly 3.28 miles depending on the course used. The event is suitable for all levels, with a minimum distance of 5 km.

Runners receive a David Bowie-inspired medal upon completing at least one lap, and distance pins for half-marathon and longer distances. Amenities include aid stations with snacks and drinks, goody bags (including vegan options), and toilet facilities. The course is fully signed and flat, making navigation easy.
