Santa Teresa King Richard Annual Trail Run
The event takes place on Saturday, April 3, 2027 at the Pueblo Day Use Area in Santa Teresa County Park, San Jose, CA. It is organized in memory of the organizer's father and runs on trails that cover much of the 1,673-acre park in the Santa Teresa Hills.
Distances offered:
- 5K: 100% dirt road, very hilly, 1 aid station
- 10K: 75% dirt roads, 25% single track, 3 aid stations
- 10 Mile: 50% dirt roads, 50% single track, 4 aid stations
- Half Marathon: 2,552 ft ascent, 50% dirt roads, 50% single track, 4 aid stations
Courses are marked with ribbons attached to clothespins, signs, and direction arrows. Runners are asked to close any cattle gates they open. Aid stations are placed at several mile points on the courses and vary by distance. Drop bag service is not available.
Registration fees vary by distance and are non-refundable; credits for future races are available if cancellation is advised before race day. Active military and first responders receive a 15% discount. Volunteers are needed to help at aid stations; volunteers receive a free future race.
Parking at the Pueblo Day Use Area uses a self-registration kiosk with a $6 per vehicle fee and on-site cones and signs to direct vehicles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
