Rancho Hills Trail Run - Summer

The event takes place on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Rancho Cañada del Oro Open Space Preserve, 4289 Casa Loma Road, Morgan Hill, CA. It offers multiple trail distances that start and finish at the preserve parking area.

The course runs on single track and dirt roads with significant elevation change. Runners will encounter exposed sections with some shaded creek corridors and old oak trees. The route follows marked ribbons and signs and provides Bay Area panoramas along the base of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The organizer recommends carrying at least one water bottle or a hydration pack; longer distances should carry additional water.

There are two fully stocked aid stations: the Rancho Cañada del Oro start/finish aid station and the Catamount & Bald Peaks Trail intersection aid station. Drop bags are accepted only at the Rancho Cañada del Oro aid station. Cutoff times and stage cutoffs apply and the 50K cutoff is noted as strictly enforced.

On-site facilities are limited. A single commode is available at the main front parking lot on a first-come first-served basis; additional toilets are located about ten minutes away. Parking is extremely restricted and overflow parking is located 500 yards past runner check in on Casa Loma Road. All finishers receive a medal. Travel packages are offered through a third party partner. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
