The event is held at Harvey West Park (Friendship Picnic Area) in Santa Cruz, California. It offers the following distances:

T-shirts are given to all pre-registered runners. All finishers receive a custom medal; 50K finishers also receive a custom coaster. Overall top three male and female finishers in each distance receive awards and race credits. Top three in each age group and gender receive medals.
Course, logistics, and rules
The course goes through coastal redwoods, stream canyons, open meadows, pine and oak forests, and chaparral-covered ridges. The half marathon, 30K, marathon, and 50K cross the San Lorenzo River multiple times. Surfaces and elevation gain by distance are provided; examples: the 10K has about 800 feet gain and the 50K about 5,175 feet. Course ribboning is placed about every 200 yards and color coded by distance; polka-dot flagging indicates turns and blue ribbons mark the wrong way.
Aid stations are fully stocked every 6 to 7 miles with fruit, salty snacks, candy, water, and electrolyte drink. Runners are recommended to carry at least 20 oz of water between aid stations. The event is cupless; runners should bring their own fluid container. Parking is free. Drop bags are allowed for 30K, marathon, and 50K at the start/finish.
