The fourth Runners-next-the-Sea beach race takes place at Holkham Beach on 11/01/2026. The course is approximately 5 miles. It starts and finishes on the beach at Holkham Gap near the boardwalk that links the Lady Anne’s Drive car park and the beach. The route heads west behind the sand dunes toward Burnham Overy Staithe, then crosses the dune and runs east along the open beach for about two miles, including a crossing of a shallow channel, before returning to the finish. The race takes place across a National Nature Reserve and the final route will be confirmed with the reserve team to avoid nesting sites and dune work. The minimum age is 16.
