West Acre Wild 10k Challenge

The West Acre Wild Run takes place on 18 October 2026 in Westacre, Norfolk. It is an off-road 10 km that follows undulating bridle paths and woodland tracks through the local countryside.

The route begins with a short paved section then continues on farm and woodland paths that are generally dry. A short length of farm track may be wet and muddy depending on recent rainfall. There are a number of optional obstacles on the route that runners may choose to attempt. The course crosses the West Acre fords just before the finish and can be crossed via a narrow walkway; runners who plan to run the fords are advised to have spare trainers and socks available at the finish.

Parking is off Walton Road with access to The Stag. Entrants are asked to avoid driving into West Acre village. Event HQ and registration are located adjacent to The Stag pub; registration opens at 09:00 on the day. The race start and finish are at The Stag pub. Race numbers are collected from Event Registration on the day. Runners with dogs are allowed and will set off in advance of the main event.

A water point is available at the 5 km mark. There is no formal bag drop; the car park is close to the start and belongings may be left at Event HQ at the owner’s risk. Portable toilets will be available at Event HQ and at the start and finish. All entrants receive a bespoke West Acre Wild Stag medal. Tea, coffee, squash and a large selection of cakes will be available at the finish. Ten entrants will be chosen at random for spot prizes and a raffle will be held. Proceeds from the event go to the Purfleet Trust. Entries are non-refundable and non-deferable; transfers to another runner are permitted until 10 October 2026.
