High Lodge 10K Guided Trail Run

This is a guided group trail run of 10 km through High Lodge in Thetford Forest, Brandon, Suffolk. The event takes place on woodland trails with a mix of hard-packed paths and single-track routes through the woods. The terrain is described as mostly flat with very few obstacles.

Groups are organised using a rough recent race time provided at booking so participants are placed with others of similar ability. Runs are led at a conversational pace and are focused on enjoying the trails rather than racing. Participants should be prepared to run at a slower pace than they might expect in some groups.

The organiser allows up to two hours for the event, though actual duration will depend on the abilities of those attending. There is parking available at High Lodge; parking for attendees is charged at £3. The event entry fee is £12.50.

Recommended items include trail shoes where possible, a waterproof jacket, sun cream if needed, at least 500 ml of water and snacks. The run is presented as suitable for people who have experience running on roads and are taking their first steps into trail running, or for those seeking a relaxed group trail outing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
