OMG (One Mile 2 Go) Run

The OMG (One Mile 2 Go) Run returns to Bawsey Country Park for its second year. The event takes place on a trail course featuring terrain composed of sand, gravel, and grass. The venue is located on the B1145, situated between Gayton and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Participants can choose from a variety of distances, which are completed in laps around the park:

  • 5k
  • 10k
  • 15k
  • Half Marathon
  • Heavy Half Marathon (5 to 7 laps)
  • Full Marathon
  • Ultra Marathon (9 to 12 laps)

A six-hour cut-off applies to the event, with a shorter four-hour limit for later starters. The race follows a mass start format from the Race HQ at the base camp. Because runners pass the start and lap point frequently, an aid station is available every lap. This aid station operates on a cupless basis, meaning participants must bring their own bottles or cups for refilling.

The event logistics are designed for simplicity with no mandatory kit list and minimal navigation required. Parking is included in the entry fee, and participants must collect a parking code before leaving. While there is no dedicated baggage area, the course passes by the car park on every lap, allowing runners to access their vehicles. All finishers receive either a bespoke event medal or a standard finisher medal, depending on the entry option selected. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
