Run Tasmania Stage Race

Run Tasmania Stage Race is a four day trail running stage event around Hobart and south east Tasmania, including the Tasman Peninsula. It comprises four distinct daily stages that pass through coastal, alpine, rainforest and clifftop environments.

The route sequence presents: Day 1 Coastal World: coastal trails near Kingston with ocean views and native bushland. Day 2 Alpine World: ascents on kunanyi / Mount Wellington with wide mountain views. Day 3 Rainforest World: mossy rainforest near Fortescue Bay on the Tasman Peninsula. Day 4 Clifftop World: clifftop terrain at Cape Raoul with 300 metre sea cliffs and a private property finish area.

There are two course options for participants:

  • The Devil long course: 15-25 km per day, 88.5 km total
  • The Quoll short course: 10-23 km per day, 67.5 km total

Event logistics are coordinated with event hotels, bus transfers, meals and competitor services organised for the race transfer between urban and wilderness locations. Trail runs nearby

Trail races at Tolosa Park on 02 August 2026 include 21 km, 10 km and 5 km routes through mixed forest and rocky singletrack, with an Event Hub offering family activities and coffee from Bean and Leaf.

Ridgy Didge is a new one day trail running event in Ridgeway on 27 September 2026 featuring forest single track, fire trail sections and views of the mountain, with family activities and three distance options.

A trail running event at Cascade Brewery Bar in Hobart on Halloween featuring three courses through Cascade Track, Main Fire Trail and local mountain bike trails, finishing on a ridgeline above the brewery.

Three trail courses at Fern Tree Park on Sunday 1 November: a 21km Enduro, 13km Sport and 4km Explorer. Terrain ranges from runnable singletrack to rocky boulderfields and boggy bush track with coastal views on clear days.
