Run Tasmania Stage Race

Run Tasmania Stage Race is a four day trail running stage race held 25 to 28 November 2026 around Hobart and south-east Tasmania, including the Tasman Peninsula. The event uses a sequence of distinct terrain types so each day runs through a different landscape.

Day 1 is the Coastal World, with ocean views, native bush and runnable coastal tracks near Kingston. Day 2 is the Alpine World on kunanyi / Mount Wellington, featuring rocky ascents and panoramic views. Day 3 is the Rainforest World on the Tasman Peninsula near Fortescue Bay, with dense mossy forest and large ferns. Day 4 is the Clifftop World at Cape Raoul, finishing on clifftop trails above 300 metre sea cliffs.

Two course options are offered with daily and total distance targets:

• Devil Long Course: 15-25 km per day, 88.5 km total.
• Quoll Short Course: 10-23 km per day, 67.5 km total.

Event logistics include coordinated event hotels, bus transfers, meals and competitor services that are pre-organised. The field is limited to 300 runners to manage participant numbers. The format combines multi-day stage racing with overnight stays in Hobart for the first two nights and a retreat to the Tasman Peninsula for the final two nights.
