Kunanyi Trail Series - Cascade Slide (Bar Edition)

Kunanyi Trail Series presents Cascade Slide (Bar Edition), a trail running event on 31 October 2026 at Cascade Brewery Bar (Gardens), 140 Cascade Rd, South Hobart, Tasmania. The event is the final round of the 2026 Series and takes place on Halloween; organisers note costumes are welcome and post‑race food and drinks will be available at Cascade Brewery Bar.

The longer courses start at the historic Cascade Brewery Bar, which has nearly 200 years of brewing history, and follow Cascade Track through open woodlands and rainforest gullies. Runners continue onto the Main Fire Trail that runs along the city protection firebreak, then use Slides Track, descend into McRobies Gully and pass Jurassic Shark, a community‑built mountain bike track. The Enduro and Sport courses return along the prominent ridgeline above Cascade Brewery and follow fire and mountain bike trails back to the bar.

The Explorer course, listed as Cascade 4.0, uses flowing single track with a steep uphill and a fast descent. It climbs the open woodlands of Cascade Track, drops to Old Farm Road to cross a bridge, then ascends the steep driveway into the Golden Gully ridgeline. This course does not include Slides Track, McRobies Gully or Jurassic Shark.
