Kunanyi Trail Series : Cascade Slide (Bar Edition)
The Cascade Slide (Bar Edition) is a trail running event in South Hobart with the Event Hub located at Cascade Brewery Bar (Gardens). It is the final event of the 2026 Kunanyi Trail Series and is scheduled on Halloween. Registrations are limited and a series discount is available for season-pass entrants.
Three course options are offered:
- 17 km Enduro, elevation 830 m
- 11 km Sport, elevation 460 m
- 4 km Explorer, elevation 190 m
Courses start and finish at the Cascade Brewery Bar area and use nearby tracks around Kunanyi. Routes move along Cascade Track into open woodlands and rainforest gullies, follow the Main Fire Trail and prominent ridgelines above the brewery, and include Slides Track switchbacks, McRobies Gully and sections of the community-built mountain bike track known as Jurassic Shark. The Explorer course follows Cascade Track, Old Farm Road and the Golden Gully ridgeline, omitting some of the longer trail features.
Event logistics at the hub include bib pick-up, a run briefing with a Welcome to Country, a post-event BBQ and presentations with spot prizes.
