Location and race day facilities
Race HQ and registration are at Nest Car Park, Hamsterley Forest. Facilities at Race HQ include bag drop, toilets and changing options. Parking is at Nest Car Park with specific race car park signage. Water stations are provided approximately every 3 miles and distance markers are placed every mile. Chip timing is used; race numbers contain a foam strip with the timing chip beneath.
Entries, fees and prizes
Affiliated entry fee is £24.00 and unaffiliated entry fee is £25.80. Race packs, including race number and ordered T-shirt, are available to collect at registration on the day. All finishers receive a medal. Individual overall prizes are vouchers: 1st place £50, 2nd place £30, 3rd place £20 for both male and female. Veteran age-group prizes are awarded in five-year bands (women 35+, men 40+) with a minimum of five finishers required per band. There are also team prizes for first male and first female UKA affiliated clubs based on the positions of the first three club runners. The published cut-off for the half-marathon is 3 hours.
