Rumble on the Ridge

Arena, United States • 16 May 2026

Event overview

Rumble on the Ridge is a Last Person Standing running event on May 16, 2026, at 5749 County Rd H, Arena, WI. Participants run a loop called "The Drifty Mile" that will measure between 1–1.25 miles with at least 250 ft of elevation gain. Each loop must be completed within 20 minutes. The course route is changed yearly and details are not published before race day. The loop direction reverses every four hours. The event continues until only one runner has completed every lap within the time limit; a solo victory lap is required to claim the win. If no runner completes the final lap, there will be no winner.

Course, rules, and logistics

The Barnyard Basecamp holds the start corral, crew tents, aid station, restrooms, and spectator areas. The venue limits participation to 75 runners and offers up to 35 crew tent spaces; each crew space is a 10x10 foot grass plot and requires bring-your-own equipment. Aid must be carried on the runner while on course; outside aid is allowed only off course. Whistle and cowbell signals mark lap warnings and starts. Camping is permitted on Saturday night only for tents or small camper vans; RVs and pull-behinds are not allowed. The race operator donates $0.10 per lap to the Driftless Trail project. Registrations are final with no refunds, but transfers to another individual are allowed under the event policy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
