Course, services and race policies

Courses start in a restored sedge meadow in the wetlands around Indian Lake, a kettle lake formed during glacial retreat. Routes move from prairie paths into forest and dirt trails and include notable hills associated with the Driftless Region. Part of the route follows the Ice Age Trail. The event notes ongoing land work: Dane County Parks plans to purchase 300 acres south of the park boundary, and a 170-acre oak savanna restoration is in progress.

The event is cup-free: paper cups will not be provided at aid stations or start/finish. Water dispensers will be available at aid stations for refilling, and participants are responsible for bringing their own cup, bottle, or hydration bladder. A post-race celebration will include live music by the Currach Irish Trio, food, beverages, awards, and a raffle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
