Run The Hawk Trail Run
Run The Hawk takes place at the Blackhawk Ski Club in Middleton, WI on August 22, 2026. The event uses the ski hill terrain and looped courses that showcase the site’s natural features and climbs.

The main timed event is run on a 2.25 mile loop with about 345 feet of elevation gain per lap. The surface mixes grass paths, dirt single track and access trails. There is one major climb of about 150 feet with a section near 22 percent grade, plus several gentler climbs and flatter sections. Course features include tall 50 foot pines, a natural spring pool with a rope swing, running under a 60 meter ski jump, and the climb up Leaonards Way.
Support and logistics include a staffed aid station at the checkpoint with food and hydration; this is a cupless event so participants must bring their own vessel. There will be a drop bag area, restrooms at the checkpoint and two on course, and ski patrol medical support. Tent space is sold as 10'x10' plots in the checkpoint area and pacers are not allowed outside designated crewing areas. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before and the morning of the event.
