Last Dot Standing Overview

The Last Dot Standing event is a variation of the last person standing format held in Belleville, Wisconsin. The primary competition follows a structure where participants must complete a 4.2 mile segment within one hour. The course alternates between two specific locations: starting at Belleville Community Park and ending at Dot's Tavern, a 70-year-old establishment located near the trail.

At the start of each new hour, runners depart from their current location to return to the other. This cycle of 4.2 mile point-to-point legs continues until only one participant remains capable of completing the distance within the allocated hour. Aid stations are positioned at each end of the route, meaning participants have access to support every 4.2 miles.

Additional Race Categories

In addition to the last person standing format, several timed events are available that utilize the same route between Belleville and Dot's Tavern. Participants in these categories may run between the two locations as many times as they choose within their specific time limit. The available distances and formats include:

  • 48 Hour individual race
  • 24 Hour races starting on either Friday or Saturday
  • 8 Hour races starting on Saturday morning or Saturday night

Finisher awards and race swag are provided to those who register by the designated September deadline. The event trail connects the community park directly to the tavern area, providing a consistent out-and-back corridor for all timed durations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
