IM ABLE Foundation's Ruck & Roll is scheduled for Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Blue Marsh National Recreation Area, State Hill Boat Launch Area, 599 Brownsville Rd., Wernersville, PA. Formats, divisions, distances and activities
A ruck is walking or hiking with a weighted pack; participants may use weighted packs, vests, or go unweighted. Ruck divisions include Ranger (competitive, 40 lbs for 150+ lb participants), Scout (competitive, 20 lbs for under 150 lb), Cadet (competitive, 10 lbs for youth or new ruckers), and Infantry (social ruck, no timing, light or no weight). The roll is for adaptive athletes using handcycles or recumbents and is described as on hilly trails; course maps and elevation profiles are provided. The Chili Cook-Off offers a $100 cash prize for competitors and limited competitor spots; event registrants receive free chili samples or can pay to sample. Operation Supply Drop will collect food donations for a veteran food bank and offer a limited-edition patch. Other family activities include nature crafts, a nature scavenger hunt, and s'mores.
