Naked Bavarian

The Naked Bavarian is a no/low swag ultra trail run held at Blue Marsh Lake in Leesport, PA on March 7, 2026. The event offers two distance options:

• 40 Miles
• 20 Miles

The course runs on the north side of Blue Marsh Lake and is a lollipop shape: 6.5 miles out, a 7 mile loop, and 6.5 miles back. 40 mile entrants complete the loop twice and have access to a drop bag at mile 20. Terrain is approximately 80% single-track trail and 20% gravel road, with occasional rocks and roots; conditions can be snow, ice, or mud this time of year. Elevation gain is about 2,000 ft for the 20M and about 4,000 ft for the 40M.

Aid stations are positioned roughly at 3.5, 6.5, 10, 13.5, 16.5, 20, 23.5, 26.5, 30, 33.5, and 36.5 miles; water and Gatorade will be available at all aid stations and basic snacks and carbohydrates will be provided. Timing is conducted with tear-off bibs and bibs must be visible on the front at all times.

Bib pickup and the start/finish are at the Lake View Pavilion, Day Use Area, Blue Marsh Lake (approximate address 1420 Palisades Drive, Leesport, PA 19533). Entry fees listed in advance are $39 for the 20M and $49 for the 40M with higher cash-only rates on race day. Registration closes March 1, 2026. Refunds are available up to 30 days before the race minus a $5 fee; after that entries are final with limited bib transfer options. Awards include a German-style finisher memento and top overall and age-group prizes. Post-race food is provided by a chef and a pastry chef.
