The Naked Bavarian is a no or low swag trail ultramarathon organized by Uber Endurance Sports at Blue Marsh Lake in Leesport, PA. The event offers two distances:
- 20 Miles
- 40 Miles
The course is a lollipop route on the north side of the lake: 6.5 miles out, a 7 mile loop, and 6.5 miles back. The 40 mile field repeats the loop and allows access to a drop bag at mile 20. Terrain is about 80% single track and 20% gravel. Estimated elevation gain is about 2,000 ft for the 20 mile distance and about 4,000 ft for the 40 mile distance.
Aid stations are located at approximately 3.5, 6.5, 10, 13.5, 16.5, 20, 23.5, 26.5, 30, 33.5, and 36.5 miles. Water, Gatorade, and snacks are provided; participants are advised to carry fluid between stations and bring personal gels if needed. Timing uses tear-off bibs and bibs must remain visible on the front. Runners must finish the distance they entered and may not drop to a shorter distance during the race.
Entry fees listed are $39 for 20 miles and $49 for 40 miles, with higher cash-only fees on race day. Refunds are available up to 30 days before the event minus a fee; entries are final after that point with limited bib transfer options.
