Chilly Cheeks 11K Trail Run
The Chilly Cheeks is an 11K trail run held in Reading, PA on January 3, 2027 at the Reading Liederkranz German Singing & Sports Club, 143 Spook Lane. The course is a natural single-loop trail with rocks, roots, fallen leaves and technical downhills and uphills; snow or mixed winter conditions are common and can make the route run longer than its stated distance.
Registration is online only, a small service fee applies, and online entries close at midnight on the Wednesday before the race; race-day signups are likely to be available. Fee options vary by shirt choice: a long sleeve shirt option is priced at $40 if entered by December 14, 2026 and $45 afterward while shirts remain; a no-shirt option is $35 if entered by December 14 and $40 afterward.
Event amenities include two water stops with varied drinks, a covered finish area, indoor toilets, EMS on site, plenty of parking, finish-place postings and next-day results, hot and cold food at the finish, and a cash bar. Pets are allowed under restrictions: dogs must stay toward the back for the first quarter mile, be on a very short leash, and must not be brought into the restaurant or bar area. No outside alcohol is permitted on site. On rare occasions extreme weather may cause a postponement to the following Saturday. Awards are given by age group and for Clydesdale divisions.
