Course, format and facilities

The event uses the Pottsville High School cross country course, listed as 5k, with the start and finish on the stadium track; organizers reserve the right to alter the course if necessary. The event will be timed for participants. Finish order will be recorded using a hand-held stick system; registrants’ name, graduation year, and place will be recorded when the stick is returned. Alumni team scoring will be by decade using a long-short cross country format: the top three finishers from each decade score, with the 4th and 5th runners displacing; men and women score separately and then are combined for a final decade score. No athletic trainers or showers will be available. Water will be provided at start and finish only. Parking is available on middle school property and on nearby streets.
