Charlie Horse Half Marathon and Dirty Pony 5K

The event on May 24, 2026 features two trail running options that benefit Berks County Special Olympics and use Sleepy Hollow Athletic Club in Mohnton PA as the event hub. The majority of the half marathon follows the Horse Shoe Trail through Brecknock Township and includes sections of single track, short country road segments, and private trails that return runners toward Sleepy Hollow. The final 5k of the half marathon runs on the Plowville section of the trail, terrain noted for rocks, mud, and varied features such as lagoons and small waterfalls.

Distances

  • Half Marathon Mostly Horse Shoe Trail with a Plowville section finish
  • Dirty Pony 5K All trail on the Plowville section
