Rombalds Stride takes place on 7 Feb 2026 in Guiseley, Leeds. The event is a trail route of 23 Miles, one lap, with a hilly profile and is not suitable for wheelchairs. The organiser is 15th Airedale Scout Group. Entry is limited to 550 places; 271 places remained available at the time of listing.

Standard entry fees are £25.00, with reduced rates of £23.00 for LDWA members and members of the Scout or Guide association. Add-on pricing for a T-shirt increases fees to £40.00 standard, £38.00 for members. Entry on the day is not available.

Course and facilities

The route starts and finishes in Guiseley and passes through Esholt, Baildon, Ilkley, Burley Woodhead and Menston, taking in Rombalds Moor, Ilkley Moor and Otley Chevin over open moorland. Water stations and refreshments are provided along the route. Toilets will be available at the start/finish. There are no distance markers, no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage store. Participants are asked to bring a cup to reduce single-use plastics.

Full instructions and map references will be emailed to entrants and a GPX file may be made available close to the event. Minimum age is 18, or 12 for members of the Scout or Guide association (group name and district should be provided). LDWA members should include their membership number. A single-colour A4 T-shirt design contest has a submission deadline of 30 October; the winning design will be printed and the winner’s entry fee refunded. Too Cool for Pule is a lively 5.8 mile trail race around Marsden, taking in reservoirs, hilltop views and proper fell terrain. Expect climbs and boggy sections, then a friendly finish at Marsden Cricket Club with food, a bar and prizes.

Run scenic looped trails around historic Kirkstall Abbey, following riverside paths, woodlands and towpaths with distances from 8.8 miles up to an ultra. Expect varied terrain, friendly marshals, feed stations and a bespoke finisher medal.

Join Leeds MoRunning at Roundhay Park on 23 November 2025 with distances from 1.5k to half marathon on a scenic but hilly park and trail course. Chip timing, finisher medal and headband plus fun extras like spot prizes make it great fun.
