Blubberhouses Moor Challenge Event
The Blubberhouses Moor Challenge Event is scheduled for Sunday 22 March 2026. Online entries are open for this event. In recent years the group has run the Blubberhouses Moor event in late March and it will continue as a Challenge Event.
The Wensleydale Wedge is no longer organised as a Challenge Event. The 30th Wensleydale Wedge in 2022 was the final event; the route information remains available for those who wish to walk it independently.
Nidderdale LDWA group and event format
The Nidderdale LDWA group is based in North Yorkshire and draws members from postcodes BD23 & 24, DL, HG, and LS22 & 23. The group runs both challenge events and social walks. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and have defined time limits. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles and their programme is published in the Strider magazine.
Group meetings are held on an as-required basis and are usually at The Woodlands Hotel, 110 Wetherby Road, Harrogate HG2 7AB. Any member of the LDWA may join the group walks, and prospective members may join a social walk for a trial period after contacting the walk leader beforehand.
