PECO XC Relays

Event Information

The PECO XC Relays is the end-of-season relay race for the PECO Cross Country League. It is a team event where three runners from the same club complete a relay around a course in Middleton Park, Leeds.

Race Format

The total race distance is 3 x 2.6 miles. Each of the three team members runs one leg of this cross-country course, which is described as undulating.

Eligibility and Entry

The race is only open to runners who are members of a UK Athletics affiliated club, have taken part in the current season's PECO XC League, and have a valid race number. Entry is free. Online registration is required and closes at 6:00 PM on Friday, 6 March. There are no entries accepted on the day of the race.

A maximum of 150 teams can enter. Teams can be entered in one of several categories:

  • Club Representative Team (one per club: one male, one female, one Vet 40+)
  • Male Open
  • Female Open
  • Mixed (at least one male and one female)
  • Male Vets (all three runners aged 40+)
  • Female Vets (all three runners aged 40+)
  • Male Super Vets (all three runners aged 50+)
  • Female Super Vets (all three runners aged 50+)

Team information, including category and running order, can be edited online until 10:00 PM on Thursday, 5 March.

Facilities

The event has limited on-site facilities. There are no water stations, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities, showers, or a baggage store. Parking is available, and participants are asked to park sensibly. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

An 8-kilometre fell race across Ilkley Moor, run under FRA rules. This AS category race requires full mandatory kit and has a strict one-hour cut-off halfway. Registration is in Ilkley, with entry available online or on the day.

A chip timed 10 kilometre multi terrain race in Ripon with a separate 1 kilometre fun run for all ages. Entry fees vary for affiliated and unaffiliated runners and places are limited.

Join the Saint Michael's Harrogate event with 10K and 5K trail runs on laps. Your participation supports the local hospice. Facilities include water stations and baggage storage, with entries capped at 1000 runners.
