PECO XC Relays

The PECO XC Relays is a cross country running event held at Middleton Park in Leeds. This competition serves as the end of season relay race for the PECO Cross Country League. Participation is restricted to UKA affiliated club members who have competed in the current season of the PECO XC League and possess a valid race number.

The event structure is based on teams of three runners. Each participant completes a single lap on an undulating cross country course. The race features several competition categories for teams:

  • 3 x 2.6 Miles (Relay format)

Available team categories include Male Open, Female Open, Mixed (minimum of one male and one female), Male Vets (all runners aged 40+), and Female Vets (all runners aged 40+). There are also Super Vets categories for teams where all three runners are aged 50 or over. Additionally, clubs may enter one Representative Team consisting of one male, one female, and one runner aged 40+.

Registration is limited to 150 teams and must be completed online in advance, as no entries are accepted on the day of the event. The venue does not provide water stations, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities, showers, or a baggage store. The course is undulating and is not suitable for wheelchairs. Lets Motor along the Towpath in Rodley is a canal-side trail event on a flat towpath with distances from 10k to ultramarathon. The course is signed and marshalled, has regular feed stations and a bespoke finisher medal.
