Regal Beagle Ultra

The Regal Beagle Ultra offers multiple loop-distance options on trails and roads within the Bath Nature Preserve and Bath Community Park in Akron, OH. The course route travels through wetlands, woodlands, and rolling hills, and includes paved and gravel roads plus dirt and grass trails.

Distances:

  • 50K - six 5-ish mile loops
  • 25K - three 5-ish mile loops
  • 5 Miler - one loop

Each loop includes two aid stations. The event uses a loop format with a published course limit of eight hours. Pacers are not permitted for the 50K or other distances. Course elevation is about 400 feet of gain per loop. The start and finish are located at the Regal Beagle with parking directed toward the University of Akron Field Station.

A portion of event proceeds will benefit the Bath Nature Preserve and the University of Akron Field Station. All participants receive a custom finisher gift and a Regal Beagle medal. Awards are given for overall and masters placements and for age-group winners, and there are monetary bonuses for new course records in the 50K and 25K paid by gun time. Packet pickup is at the Regal Beagle on race day with limited race-day pickup available. A nearby recommended lodging option is the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Akron. A 5K cross-country run through wooded trails in Cuyahoga Valley with 112 feet of elevation gain, plus a flat 1-mile kids dash on grass at Old Trail School; medals awarded and stroller guidance provided.

A multi distance ultramarathon at St. Helena Heritage Park on June 6 2026 featuring a five mile loop course, relay teams, cupless service, on site camping, and a charity partnership with Team RWB.

A community event at IBH Addiction Recovery in Akron on June 6, 2026 featuring a 5K obstacle course, a 1 Mile family walk, community resource tables, participant shirts and medals, and volunteer opportunities.

Nuthatch Nonsense is a 15k trail race in Sand Run Metro Park on June 7, 2026, featuring about 1,100 feet of elevation gain and a portion of proceeds benefiting the Summit Metro Parks Trail Fund.
