The Regal Beagle Ultra offers distances of 50K, 25K, and 5 miles. The course highlights the Bath Nature Preserve and Bath Community Park. The start and finish location is the Regal Beagle at 4240 Ira Rd in Akron, Ohio.
Course Description
The loop course traverses wetlands, woodlands, and rolling hills. The terrain is a mix of paved and gravel roads, and dirt and grass trails.
- The 50K consists of six loops of approximately 5 miles each.
- The 25K consists of three loops of approximately 5 miles each.
- The 5 Mile is a single loop.
There are two aid stations per loop. The course has a time limit of 8 hours. For the 50K, runners must start their final loop by 2:30 PM. The course involves about 400 feet of elevation gain per loop. Pacers are not permitted for any distance.
Registration & Fees
Registration closes on the Friday before the event. Pricing is tiered based on registration date for all distances.
- 50K: Fees range from $75 to $85.
- 25K: Fees range from $60 to $70.
- 5 Mile: Fees range from $30 to $40.
An additional Ultrasignup fee applies. A discount code is available for registrants who choose not to receive a race shirt.
Awards & Perks
Awards are given based on gun time. Categories include:
- Overall male and female winners for each distance.
- Masters male and female winners for all distances.
- First place in each age group, male and female, for each distance.
- Cash prizes are offered for setting a new course record in the 50K and 25K distances.
All finishers receive a medal. A custom finisher's gift is provided to all participants. Race swag, including shirts, is available with a deadline for guaranteed size.
Beneficiary & Logistics
A portion of the event's proceeds benefits the Bath Nature Preserve and the University of Akron Field Station. Packet pickup is available the day before the event at the Regal Beagle. Limited race-day packet pickup is also available for out-of-town guests. Parking is available at the University of Akron Field Station, with signs directing participants on event day.
