This is the Punk Panther Spring Headtorch Half, a trail running event taking place on a Tuesday evening. It features three distances run around Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs.

Distances and Terrain

The event offers the following approximate distances:

  • Half Marathon (two laps): ~800ft of climb
  • 10km (one lap): ~400ft of climb
  • 5km (one lap of Swinsty Reservoir): ~200ft of climb

Event Details

The maximum number of participants is 150. Registration takes place at the Punk Panther gazebo by the car park toilet block. The course uses the paths around the reservoirs and will not be marked with tape.

Participants must bring a head torch and a mobile phone with the race director's contact number stored. A short race briefing is given at the registration gazebo. A water checkpoint is available mid-race and at the finish.

Venue and Logistics

The event venue is Swinsty Moor Car Park, a pay-and-display facility. Toilets are located in the car park. Every finisher receives a medal. Final instructions will be emailed the week before the event. Results and course records will be published online.

Trail runs nearby

Choose a 25-mile or 12-mile route through the Yorkshire Dales, open to walkers and runners. It starts from Cracoe Village Hall and includes checkpoints with refreshments. The event must be completed within 10 hours.
