Punk Panther Spring Headtorch Half

The Punk Panther Spring Headtorch Half is a weekday trail running event held at Swinsty Moor Car Park. The event takes place on trails around the Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs. Participants can choose from three different distances, each featuring varying levels of elevation gain:

  • Half Marathon: Two laps of Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs with approximately 800ft of climb.
  • 10 km: One lap of Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs with approximately 400ft of climb.
  • 5 km: One lap of Swinsty Reservoir with approximately 200ft of climb.

The race follows a course that is not marked with tape. Safety requirements for all participants include carrying a head torch and a mobile phone with the race director's contact numbers stored and the device powered on. Registration occurs at a gazebo near the car park toilet block, where a brief race summary is provided to runners.

A water station is located at the event gazebo, accessible to half marathon runners after their first lap and to all participants at the finish line. The finish line is situated at the edge of the woods before the road crossing to the car park. All finishers are presented with a medal. The event is open to individuals aged 16 and older, with a maximum capacity of 150 entrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
