Manchester - Burrs Bash

Phoenix Running Manchester and The Sunnywood Project hold a lapped running event at Burrs Country Park in Bury (BL8 1DA). The course is mostly hard packed trail and riverside trail. The event supports The Sunnywood Project, a community organisation that promotes outdoor activity and mental health.

Participants can run as many laps as they wish within a seven hour time limit. Elevation is approximately 187 ft per 3.28 miles (5.3 km). Distances based on laps are:

  • 2 laps = 6.6 miles
  • 4 laps = half marathon
  • 8 laps = marathon
  • 9 laps and over = ultra

A timed, multi-lap event at Chorlton Water Park using a 5.3 km out and back course along the River Mersey. Runners can cover one lap up to an ultra within a seven hour limit and all participants receive a finishers' medal.

Run the 9.5 km Wincle Trout fell race in the Peak District, featuring a 320 m climb and a river crossing. The event is part of the lively Wincle Village Fete. A shorter 3 km junior race is also available.
