Distances and format

  • Marathon
  • Half Marathon

The course is an off-road trail inside the wine estate laid out as a single 1 mile loop with an additional 0.1 or 0.2 mile section added to reach the exact half marathon or marathon distances. The route is described as relatively flat with slight inclines and cambers. Chip timing is used, and organisers can report exact distance each time a runner passes the aid station. Participants may enter more than once to run multiple half marathons or marathons; multiple starts are permitted within the event start window. Runners have up to 30 hours to complete their chosen distance.

Age-based distance restrictions apply under UK Athletics rules for participants aged 20 or under. All participants, attended or virtual, receive a physical giveaway medal or memento; the event offers a community-style medal/buckle available in a selection of colours.
