Paris Mountain Half Marathon Run/Hike
The Paris Mountain Half Marathon Run/Hike takes place on October 10, 2026 at Paris Mountain State Park in Greenville, SC. The race is a single 13.1 mile loop that starts and finishes at Shelter #3 and is billed as a trail run and hike with a five hour time limit.
The course mixes singletrack and wide switchbacks, includes the Sulphur Springs switchbacks, two significant climbs and three lakes with waterfalls. Total elevation gain on the loop is 2,300 feet, and the route offers panoramic summit views and seasonal fall foliage.
Two staffed aid stations are located at mile 4.6 and mile 10.4. Available snacks include pickles, cookies, chips, Fig Newtons, and pretzels. Hydration options listed are water, Coke, and ginger ale. The event is cup-less so participants should bring their own hydration vessel.
Registration opens October 3, 2025 and closes March 31, 2026; the listed registration fee is $40. A $5 special use parking permit is required and is paid during registration. Packet pickup and gear check are handled at Shelter #3. Bathrooms are available at Shelter #3 and at the main ranger station.
Finishers receive a custom medal and a custom race tattoo. The event provides chip timing with live results, post-race pancakes, professional photos, giveaways, and awards for top overall finishers and age group places across 15 age categories.
