Paris Mountain Half Marathon
The Paris Mountain Half Marathon takes place at Paris Mountain State Park in Greenville, SC (2401 State Park Rd). The course is a single 13.1 mile loop that starts and finishes at Shelter #3 and records about 2,300 feet of elevation gain. The route combines single-track trails, wide switchbacks, two climbs, and sections that loop near lakes and waterfalls, including a stretch from Lake Placid to Sulphur Springs.
Two aid stations are located on course at mile 4.6 and mile 10.4. Aid station items may include pickles, cookies, chips, fig newtons, pretzels, and hydration options such as water, Coke, and ginger ale. The event is cup-less, so participants should bring their own hydration vessel.
Logistics centered on Shelter #3 include packet pickup (starts 60 minutes before the race), gear check, and restrooms. Parking is at Shelter #3; a $5 special use permit fee is required and is collected during registration. Registration is available on race day via a personal mobile device, and entry into the park is covered with registration.
Finishers receive a medal and may place in age group awards. Top three overall male and female finishers receive trophies. Additional event features listed by the organizer include a custom race bib, finisher tattoo, event giveaways, complimentary race photos, a Wildly Charged hydration sample, post-race pancakes and music.
