Jones Gap Trail Half Marathon
The Jones Gap Trail Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile trail race held on September 12, 2026, at River Falls Lodge near Jones Gap State Park in Marietta, South Carolina. The event supports the Upstate Running Club Youth Team and registration covers park entry.
The course gains about 2,000 feet in elevation. It begins with a road approach into Jones Gap and continues onto single-track trails. Notable features on the route include Rainbow Falls, a section of the Rim of the Gap Trail, Little Pinnacle Mountain, and views of the Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area. The park connects with Caesar’s Head State Park and links to the Foothills Trail and the Palmetto Trail.
There are only two aid stations located at mile 2 and mile 11. Offered items may include pickles, cookies, chips, assorted candy, fig newtons, and pretzels. Hydration options listed include water, coke, and ginger ale. This is a cup-less event so participants should bring their own hydration vessel.
Included with registration are a finisher medal, post-race pancakes, a custom race bib, a custom race tattoo, event giveaways, a race sticker, complimentary race photos, music and a post-race hangout, chip timing with live results, and a sample of Wildly Charged hydration.
